The Peace of Saint Christopher involves cultural and natural, material and immaterial and especially landscape values that require preservation and dissemination actions. The project aims to express and welcome all these values, witnesses of the multiple events and narratives that have accumulated in the place, through their recovery and requalification and at the same time to reveal new meanings through contemporary interventions. The gardens were organized into four areas: Princess Garden (JP); Terrace Garden (JT); Fountain Garden (JC) and Annex Garden (JA), according to their current vocations, their past uses and possible future uses. The proposal is structured around four major strategic axes: Sustainability and Ecology; History and Imperial Family; Ruins and Fire; Museum, Science and Interculturality. Through these multiple layers of action, the result is the full appreciation of the landscape complex of the gardens of the National Museum, focusing on their natural and ecological, social and cultural diversity, but also on their potential as an infrastructure for leisure, science, botanical reserve and contact with nature.
