Salvador's Municipal Atlantic Forest Conservation and Recovery Plan (PMMA) covers the entire municipal territory (693.83 km²) and was structured in three stages: environmental diagnosis, strategic analysis, and definition of priority areas and actions. The diagnosis included mapping Atlantic Forest remnants, identification of native and threatened species, ecological corridors, risk areas, climate, geology, water resources, and traditional populations. The systematization, including the SWOT matrix (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats), supported the selection of priority areas for conservation and restoration. Concrete and measurable actions were proposed, such as the implementation of green infrastructure, encouragement of urban reforestation, and incentives for seedling production.
