Participation in the project for the revitalization of the Piratininga Lagoon waterfront, seeking to requalify the experience of residents and visitors to the Niterói Oceanic Region, but also to re-establish the balance of the lagoon system. Embyá was responsible for Basic and Executive Level Landscaping and Urbanism Projects, relying on Phytorestore's expertise in phytorestore and architecture from the KAAN office. Of the 685,000 m² of total area, 183,000 m² culminated in a new urban design for the entire waterfront, from the sidewalk of the buildings to the water mirror. 17 leisure areas, 10 km of cycling infrastructure and green areas, public sidewalks, urban afforestation and road signs were designed. Designed from the perspective of ecological landscaping, the strategy also includes techniques for plant recomposition, management of existing vegetation and enrichment of biodiversity with native species from the Atlantic Forest biome and associated ecosystems.
