The project for the Fiocruz Covid-19 – Science and Health contest proposes an intervention guided by subjectivity, emphasizing the existing natural landscape as a central element of the spatial experience. The sky, the forest, and the water take center stage along a circular and accessible path, marked by the interplay of light and shadow. The journey guides visitors through moments of introspection and memory, evoking the isolation experienced during the pandemic, the statistics that defined that period, the hope symbolized by the vaccine, and the celebration of reunion. As a symbolic tribute to the more than 700,000 lives lost, the project invites each visitor to leave a pebble in the lake, collectively creating a poignant and lasting memorial.
